After years of pestering from my neighbors to enter one of my plants in my local county fair, I finally gave in and did so this year. I am very pleased to report that not only did my entry place in the "All farm crops" category, It also received 1st Honorable mention for Best of Show!
For sale here are packages of 1000+ Chobie's Gold award winning tobacco seeds. This variety of Virginia, which is mostly for cigarettes and some cigars is grown in Michigan and has a 98+% germination rate. This is my personal seed (which I smoke daily) harvested from my organically grown garden.
Included with every order will be full instructions to help get you started saving thousands of dollars from buying store bought chemically filled cigarettes/cigars.
Tobacco is a very easy plant to grow, simply place the seed on top of the soil and keep moist to germinate. then it requires only 65-70 frost free nights to mature once transplanted outside. It is grown in every state, even Alaska. In the U.S.A. it is legal to grow and process your own tobacco at home, and it seems to be a great conversation piece with the neighbors as good healthy plants can grow 5 to 6 feet tall with rather huge leaves.
